About
Artist and composer Valérie Vivancos, aka Ocean Viva Silver, has been developing a hybrid sound and performance practice since the late 1990s, blending life and fiction, drawing on 11 years spent in the Anglo-Saxon art scenes before settling in Paris.
Trained in fine arts, sociology, sound arts and electroacoustic composition, she is a co-founder of experimental projects, has collaborated with numerous artists, written and translated texts for institutions and radio stations, and led a variety of international projects, from performances in bunkers to creations for planetariums and answering machines.
Her work, performed in art centres, festivals and on radio stations around the world, has earned her awards, residencies and commissions, and is featured on seven albums exploring soundscapes and electroacoustic poetry.
